Weekend recap

Friday night we were craving some pink box donuts (yep, the good shtuff) and then continued to have a random night composed of a UCSD vs CSUDH basketball game, night gazing at the Pacific, night bowling, and mexican food.

Woke up early the next day and en route to LA, not much planned, just going to wing the day.

We stopped at a place in Compton for Watt's Towers which I can only describe as maybe a salvation mountain but urban style, less large, and not religious. But it's the same concept as this grand man-made THING! We were too late for any tours so we just observed from the outside and got our butts out of Compton.
Later, we ended up at Father's Office thanks to Yelp for some amazing burgers paired with an IPA and just an overall cool experience. I thought their bathrooms were cool.

Since Nick practically does all the cooking, we found a fancy cooking store where we think restaurants buy their gear and here's him shopping and me being a weirdo.

My driver super tired from the good burgers squeezing in a nap at The Getty Museum's library.

So, The Getty is just a spectacular museum. Words can't really explain. We only had enough time to spend 2 hours there but god, we probably needed 4-5 to really soak up everything. It's just the grand daddy of museums. Just.. gorgeous. I mean, after we left, we were already talking about how we need to come back and we are definitely not museum folk.. or at least I'm not. Just an amazing place. I just love it. I still found a way to be immature and take photos like these for my sister. This is a snap of the greek god Mercury's ass if you've ever wondered what a Greek god's butt looks like. ;)

My baby in a room filled with paintings probably from the 1500s-1700s.

For the rest of our Saturday night in LA, we wandered around UCLA's college street since it was so near The Getty and there were so many students around just to relax and get some fresh air before heading to Anaheim to visit our hometown friend. We got home around 3AM and completely knocked out from the day.
The Sunday after, we just spent the day in bed, in love, and in relaxation. And the week begins again.
