Super musical nostalgia Saturday

The Middle by Jimmy Eat World has literally been a song on the soundtrack to my life since forever. My earliest memory of me actually realizing how much I loved this song is on my way to some summer school program at some random school when I was somewhere in elementary school still about to enroll in either an art or music class. I can't remember which one because 1) my mom kept me in some sort of summer program every summer until... the year before my junior year in college and 2) I had taken several summers worth of classes there. But I remember on the long ride there, it came on and my kid self just completely singing along and being really sad when we arrived before the song had ended. It came on today on my way to a frat event and filled me with happy childhood nostalgia.

Whatcha Say by Jason DeRulo will always be a song that is a part of a mix playlist that I will always correlate with my friend, Khoa. I remember coming out of 6th period junior year and seeing this Mr. Cool Guy leaning against the bathroom walls humming the Imogen Heap tune where we all met up after class and thinking, this guy listens to Imogen Heap? Man, I really miss that guy. Those days, too.

It's been a really nostalgic Saturday morning.
